Optimalisasi Intelektual Berlandaskan Prinsip-Prinsip Islam Demi Meningkatkan Mutu Pendidikan

Abstract


The current education crisis goes beyond technical issues such as infrastructure gaps, irrelevant curricula, and low teacher welfare, it reflects a deeper crisis of educational paradigm. Innovation is often narrowly defined as technological or methodological updates, overlooking the fundamental values and purposes of education. This study explores Islamic teachings as the foundation for a holistic and transcendental educational paradigm. Using a qualitative approach through literature review, it examines classical and contemporary sources on Islamic education, the concept of knowledge in Islam, and educational innovation. The findings show that Islam views education as a means to develop the whole human being, emphasizing ethics (adab), faith (aqidah), and social responsibility. Innovation, from this perspective, is not merely about efficiency or economic function but must align with spiritual and moral values. Therefore, reconstructing the educational paradigm based on Islamic principles can serve as a foundation for a more meaningful, humane, and sustainable system. This research contributes to the academic discourse by placing Islamic values at the heart of educational innovation, and it opens pathways for future studies focused on curriculum design and educational policy grounded in an Islamic worldview.
